Fredericksburg, Texas Spring and Summer Forecast

When it comes to vacationing, it is very hard to beat Texas and all that she has to offer. The lone star state boasts everything from deserts to hill country to ocean (or gulf, at least) front property. There may be plenty of options, but you will not regret paying us a visit in Texas hill country here in Fredericksburg. The weather is as beautiful as the area.

Spring starts off mildly enough in March, with average highs in the mid seventies and average lows in the very high forties. Just cool enough to keep you comfortable without chilling you to the bone. It picks up in April with highs reaching almost eighty on average, and lows in the mid fifties. Spring finishes out in May with highs in the mid eighties, just starting to really warm up, and lows in the low sixties.

You won’t be disappointed if you’re looking for a nice, hot location to spend your summer, either! Highs range from ninety in June to the mid nineties in July and August before the autumn cool down begins. Lows for those months range from an average in the high sixties in June to about seventy in July and August. You may have heard stories about warm, comfortable Texas nights. Now you will be able to experience these for yourself!

You can also expect to see some of those famed Texas thunderstorms if you visit during the spring or summer. The rainiest month of the year, on average, is May. June follows it with almost four inches of rain per year, on average. You can expect July to be a little drier, with only an average of two inches, but it picks back up to almost three inches in August.

If you are looking to stay dry, then March, April and July are the months to visit, with under two inches, almost two and a half, and exactly two, respectively. These are, of course, only averages from years past, but can be used as a fairly good gauge to measure the likelihood of a rainstorm coming our way.
