Hill Country Wineries in Fredericksburg Texas

While visiting Fredericksburg, Texas hill country, consider taking a scenic driving tour to one or all three of Fredericksburg's wineries. You will be rewarded along the way with panoramic vistas and the opportunity to taste the distinctive wines that only Texas hill country can produce. The town of Fredericksburg has an annual Food & Wine Fest in late October, and the wineries also host special events throughout the year for visitors.

Fredericksburg Winery: 247 West Main Street (830-990-8747) has been making wine since 1978.  Here you can take a tour and watch the wines being processed right before you. You can prearrange to take a formal tour which includes wine tasting by contacting the winery before you visit them. They are open daily except for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Day. Weekends tend to be busier than weekdays, Call for the specific touring hours for the date of your visit.

Bell Mountain Vineyards: 463 Bell Mountain Road, (830/685-3297) is situated on the slopes of beautiful Bell Mountain. Free tours and wine-tasting are available Saturdays from Noon-6p.m. (February through December) Call for the dates and times of special events offered throughout the year.
